The Hawks have provided the youth of our community the opportunity to play competitive baseball for many years. The Hawks are one of many clubs of the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL) and serve the youth in Parker and the surrounding communities. The Hawks baseball program offers multiple levels of play during the spring and summer. These levels and their descriptions are listed below:
Online registration begins mid December each year. Registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis (based on when you signed up online and full payment has been received). Limited amount of space is available and programs do fill quickly. 2019 registration fee is $370 per player. A registration without a full payment does not "hold" a spot on any roster.
Practices start the end of February/first week of March (all levels) depending on field availability. Games typically start the second week of April (AA). Double Elimination playoffs start the first or second week of June and will conclude by the end of June with the AYL World Series. Games for the playoffs can be played any day of the week. The AYL tries not to schedule games over Memorial Day weekend.
AYL / Hawks (AA National Level, ages 5-14):
A moderate competitive level of play. This level consists of players/teams with moderate skill levels.
Teams can play up to three games per week on Friday, Saturday or Sundays. Teams will play a 12 game regular season with a season ending double elimination tournament (AYL World Series). The season kicks off with a season opening AA Classsic Tournament on April 4-6, 2019 (3 game guarantee).
6AA and 7AA National will play coach pitch and use a regular standard baseball
8AA National will play a modified coach pitch and use regular standard baseballs
Placement of players/teams into the (AA National) level is the decision of Parker Youth Sports (there are no tryouts). Teams and players are required to wear the approved Hawks Baseball team uniforms.
AYL / Hawks (AA American Level, ages 7-14):
The AA American division is our more competitive level designed for the developmental competitive players/teams that are not quite ready to play with the top AAA & Majors teams.
Teams can play up to three games per week on Friday, Saturday or Sundays. Teams will play a 12 game regular season with a season ending double elimination tournament (AYL World Series). The season kicks off with a season opening AA Classic Tournament on April 4-6, 2018 (3 game guarantee).
