2021 Fall Ball Registration Opens 6/13 Midnight

FALL BASEBALL 2021 - REGISTRATION OPENS 6/13

***NEW for 2021***

14-year-old High School freshmen can play. Due to the COVID pandemic, changes to the High School Season, and cancellation of most of the High School Summer teams.

The plan is to run an upper and lower division of 13/14 division. Any team 12, 13 or 14 playing AAA or Majors must play 13/14 division.

Lower division 13/14 will play:

54ft pitching distance

80ft bases

Upper division 13/14 will play:

60ft Piching on mounds

90ft bases

The age cutoff date is 5/1/21, which determines your age and age bracket you will be able to play in.

Players can choose to play up in age brackets but not down for any reason. Players under 7 years (as of May 1st) of age may NOT play in the kid pitch division. YOU MUST REGISTER IN YOUR AGE GROUP BASED ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. IF YOU ARE REQUESTING TO PLAY UP PLEASE NOTE THAT IN THE COMMENTS SECTION OF YOUR REGISTRATION.

There are no boundary limits and any individual player(s) or teams are welcome to participate.

Coaches bringing a whole or partial team made up of 5 or more Tournament, Major, AAA or even tournament only AA level players will be placed in the next age division. IE: 12-year team has 5 or more players from a Tournament Only AA/Majors/AAA team will play in the 13-14 division.

Point of Emphasis – No unregistered league players are allowed to play in any games/tournament for any reason. This is a serious liability issue and will be strictly enforced. Coaches have no authority to approve to play a game if this is suggested.

We will take requests for kids to play for a particular coach but will not provide lists of coaches to choose from. Coaches have the final decision of approving this request based on the number of team players. Players can request to play with friends and we’ll try to honor that request wherever possible. If you register at the deadline this may not occur.

Coaches desiring to bring in a full or partial team should email John Rios or Aaron Kretzer as soon as possible prior to the season stating that fact.

Volunteers may also notify the league that they are available to Head Coach and indicate age preference and prior experience information.

2021 GUIDELINES FOR AYL BASEBALL GAMES

With the start of games, the AYL needs to remind everyone of the guidelines for safety for all those in attendance at our games. Our governing bodies are responding rapidly to any change in the environment associated with this Pandemic. As a result, our AYL Guidelines will be very flexible and ever-changing to make sure we are as consistent as possible with the Health Department requirements.

First and foremost if anyone, player, coach, or spectator is not feeling well or has any symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or temperature PLEASE stay home so as to not impact the rest of your team and families. Parents are responsible
for their child

Generic Guidelines:

  • We must allow time between games to clear the first teams out of the way and allow the second set of teams to get some warm-up time before their game all the while being cognizant of any social distancing requirements.
  • All Spectators, Coaches, and players are recommended to wear a mask when not able to social distance
  • For some fields, ( none currently) players, coaches, spectators and umpires must wear a mask even during the game
  • While in the dugout, players should wear masks, and spread out to social distance which may outside the dugout
  • Coaches must have hand sanitizer/wipes available during the game
  • Players/coaches must bring their own water/drink bottle - no sharing of drinks.
  • Spectators are limited to two persons per player, please respect this limit to ensure everyone that wants to can attend the games. Spread out at the field and don’t stand only behind home plate.

2021 AA SEASON OVERVIEW

2021 AA Season Overview

  • A 10 Game minium season starting in Early April for all ages, games will be played Friday - Sunday.  The league has determined the days/nights of play, they are as follows: Saturday (one game), Sunday (one game) and Friday's (make-up games).  The league will attempt to over-schedule games on all playable days/dates within the online described league calendar (listed on the AYL Baseball homepage).  Doing so, teams will have more games scheduled than the described minium.  Should the league deem a game needs to be canceled (at the BOD's discretion) the game will not be made-up unless a team has less than the 10 game minium season.
  • All teams at age 6 and up will play at the "AA" level.
  • Season opening AA season opening Jamboree April 2nd and 3rd (2 game exhibition due to Easter on 4/4) for all ages.
  • Coach pitch formats will be played at age 6 and 7.
  • A modified coach pitch format will be played at the 8 years old level.
  • All ages, all teams, may be AA National or AA American, American being the higher level of competition.
  • League games will not be scheduled on Easter Sunday, Mother's Day or Memorial Day weekend.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Weekends that show no games does not mean it will not have games, weather does impact baseball and games will be loaded on available weekends for play.
  • There are no bye requests for regular season or playoff games.
  • Any team that is unavailable for the playoffs or World Series due to outside tournament conflicts or travel will be removed from the end of season AYL playoffs.
  • The division size(s) (number of teams) will be determined by the AYL BOD.  All teams will be reviewed and seeded to determine the appropriate participation level for each team.
  • At the conclusion of the regular season play, all teams will participate in a double elimination playoff.  The playoffs will begin in early June and and conclude in late June.  Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 teams participating in the World Series game. There are no trophies for regular season finish.
  • The above described season is subject to change at any time by the AYL Baseball BOD.
